1. Our school emphasizes students’ development in diversity. The clubs we currently set up are Recorder team, Percussion team, Ukulele club, Athletics team, Chinese Yo-yo club, Taiwanese guide club, kite club and Laomei coastline outdoor study club. Our school is responsible for raising clubs fees and hiring outsourcing teachers. Our teachers are working very hard to promote these activities. Our aim is to help students not only learn from the classes, but also providing students with opportunities to exhibit their talents and develop their potentials.

2. Our school is situated in remote area. In order for helping students to expand their life experiences and their learning views, we have actively applied many projects and integrated courses, which can provide every student the chance to go to New Taipei City and Taipei City to have free outdoor education every semester. Based on systematic courses support and through teachers/students’ personal visiting, we believe it will definitely help every student expand their learning area. We are also hoping these arrangements can allow students realize it is indeed worthy to learn from outdoor education.

3. Laomei’s Anniversary Celebration is held in May every year. From 2012 upon Laomei’s anniversary, a series of “Kite Carnival” activities will be held at the same time. The kite carnival activities are planned together by teachers and students. All the teachers and students participate in together. The teacher for each class will provide reward cards to students; the reward card must be certified to get the points for each activity. The final accumulated points on the reward cards can be exchanged to meals freely during school carnival celebration.

4. Laomei is the land to cultivate children for growing up, and is the hometown which children are familiar with the most. However, the situation seems to be changed after children entered into the school; it seems the children have no more connections with the community. The question we are thinking of: Why learning cannot be happened in the community? Therefore, from 2013 we have designed “Laomei Big Adventure” ~ community sub-station learning activities. Students are holding maps and through discussion they decide what the routes of checkpoints they are going to proceed. It is a little adventure, like competition, it is exciting and fun. What’s more inside is students can enjoy their learning from playing and learn how work with each other in a group. This is the only first step in our planning, every year we will work out more advanced adventurous games waiting for children to challenge it.

5. “The Night of Laomei” ~ End Year Thanksgiving Party will be held in end of every year. All the students will perform on the stage, not only to show their talents, moreover it is the great moment to express sincere gratitude to their teachers and parents.
